Hi, I'm Katelyn, Founder and pastry chef of Shmayz Bakery. Growing up in Idaho, I was fortunate to watch my grandfather build something that brought joy to thousands of people. Seeing what could be accomplished through hard work and creativity inspired me to build something of my own.
That journey led me to Denver, where I began working in cafés and bakeries while learning everything I could about the craft of baking. What started as curiosity quickly became a passion for creating desserts that bring people together.
Over the years, I've been fortunate to learn from incredible mentors, work with talented teams, and create desserts for unforgettable celebrations. Along the way, I developed a reputation for custom cakes, wedding cakes, specialty dietary baking, and the cinnamon rolls that continue to be one of our most requested items.

Today, Shmayz Bakery specializes in made-to-order desserts, including custom cakes, wedding cakes, artisan cinnamon rolls, dog birthday cakes, and a wide variety of vegan, gluten-free, and organic options. My goal is simple: create beautiful desserts that taste as amazing as they look while ensuring everyone at the table feels included.
